Rebecca Yang
IPCN CEO
At the age of 24, Rebecca set up her own television production and distribution company called Wild Grass Productions in London taking the British creativity into the Mainland Chinese entertainment industry.
Over the years Rebecca has built an extensive network of executive level contacts in the Chinese & international media industry. With her vibrant and talented teams, she has brokered & executively produced some of the biggest international format & ad funded projects in China.
Rebecca is also the key founder of "Create in China" a prestigious media summit, which brings together leading Chinese and Western media executives.
Rebecca has a BA Honour Degree in Film, Broadcasting & Journalism Combined with Sociology and a MA degree in Marketing. She splits her time between London and Shanghai.
Mick Desmond
IPCN Chairman, All England Club Lawn Tennis Global Commercial Director
Mick has over 25 years of experiences working in the media industry. He was previously the Chief Executive of ITV Broadcasting and had a long and distinguished career at ITV, initially in the sales area, being Chief Executive of Granada Media Sales and subsequently moving into broadcasting.
Mick was appointed by Hunan TV Broadcasting Group as their senior international consultant and advised them for two years on its international strategy, operation and rights exploitation.
Mick co-founded IPCN with Rebecca and is now acting as the executive Chairman to the company. He is also the global commercial director of All English Lawn Tennis Club responsible for all commercial exploitation of Wimbledon Championship worldwide.
Yang Xu
IPCN Managing Director
Yang’s career in media started as an in-house music composer for Film and TV productions in one of the leading post production house in Beijing, she became a freelance composer and production sound mixer in London after graduated with her second master’s degree in Music Technology at University of York in 2006.
Yang joined IPCN ltd since it was founded in 2007 with her profound culture deposits and sharp business sense in both UK and Chinese media market, since then she’s been working closely with Mick and Rebecca on the management side of various projects and the business. Yang is currently the General Manger of IPCN who’s in charge of company’s day-to-day operation.
Yang is also the co-founder of the professional production sound organisation in London - The Sound Manifesto since May 2007.
